In autumn, nature gives us lots of colourful natural materials for crafting. During our childcare programme, the children therefore spend a lot of time outside collecting leaves, stones, twigs and whatever else there is to discover. The treasures they find are then transformed into unique works of art.
Here, we reveal a great and simple autumn crafting tip.
Autumnal dreamcatcher
Materials:
3 twigs
Thread
Pearls
Autumn leaves
Scissors
Glue
This is how it works:
Use the thread to tie the 3 twigs together at the ends to form a triangle. Then tie a longer piece of thread into a loop at one end and thread it into the top corner of the triangle.
Now you can thread on your pearls. Wrap the thread around the twigs again and again. As soon as you run out of thread, simply start again with a new one.
As soon as you like your dreamcatcher, attach a few more threads to the bottom end, thread in some pearls and glue on the autumn leaves.
Attach a thread to the top for hanging.
You can now hang the dreamcatcher above your bed. Good dreams go through the net and can come back. Bad dreams, on the other hand, get caught between the threads and disappear as soon as the sun rises.
